Shaping Scotland's Digital Future

Planet Ink Ltd was represented at the latest Sunday Herald sponsored debate on the future of digital in Scotland this month.

The event was part of a series aimed at pulling together the thoughts, concerns and aspirations of some of the nation's leading contributors on business and technology.

Its aim is to develop a digital blueprint for Scotland.

Among those taking part was a panel made up of Iain S Bruce, Technology Editor of the Sunday Herald; Raymond O'Hare, Regional Director of Microsoft Scotland; Stewart Kirkpatrick, Content Marketing Director for w00tonomy; Gordon Thomson, Operations Director for Cisco Scotland and Ireland; and Steven Thurlow, Technical Director with Graham Technology.

Among the topics covered were innovation; invention; content and how business responds to user demand.

Shaun Milne, founding director of Planet Ink Ltd, said: "We were delighted to be involved in the debate.

"Many people repeatedly made the key observation that Scotland needs a change in culture to embrace innovation.

"That is something I am sure will become a central plank for any National Technology Strategy that results from these most welcome and necessary debates.

"As digital publishers, we are delighted to be a part of that conversation."
