The first issue of Planet Hearts newspaper went on sales across the East of Scotland on Friday, March 17, 2006. Its first 10,000 print run was accompanied by a three day radio campaign and the distribution of t-shirts and 30,000 specially designed beer-mats in local bars. It is thought to be the only product of its kind in the UK.
